In 2016, we updated our mission, vision, and values as well as reviewed our business strategies to reinforce our commitment to our purpose as a sustainable business for our customers and stakeholders. One result of this campaign is our ‘Purpose’ video.

Globe has risen to become the number one mobile brand in the Philippines, driving highly customer-centric value with keen focus on enriching Filipino lives in the digital age. True to our nature of innovation and going beyond achieving business success, Globe sought and found a purpose larger than itself to serve customers more meaningfully and to “create a Globe of good.”


Our 'Purpose' video features our President and CEO, Ernest Cu, pointing out the relevance and essence of 'Purpose' in carrying out the company’s vision, mission, and core values. What follows is profound and a sincere reflection on what it means to be a truly Purpose-led organization that casts positive and sustainable impact on society.



Globe disrupted the telco arena through transformative customer experiences, from enhancement in our self-service channels to expansion of the Globe GEN3 stores that delivered relevant value in previous years. Our GEN3 stores changed the seemingly transactional mobile retail landscape into a hub that not only features the latest Globe offerings, but also an interactive space for customers to be fully immersed in the different facets of digital lifestyle and introduce retail transformation. We will continue developing and launching more of these stores nationwide in 2017. Our customers and stakeholders can also expect us to use these stores to continue enhancing our brand, through our apparel, digital connectors and our digital lifestyle products with our robust cadre of content partners.


We continue to envision a strong business by further strengthening digital lifestyle products and services as we anticipate continued growth of consumers in the mobile space. To create a wonderful world for our people, business, and nation, we will also continue to collaborate with partners in developing e-governance and develop infrastructure to optimize the quality of our services and enhance the coverage of our network. Our announcement last March reiterated our goal to deploy fiber optic cables in 20,000 barangays in the Philippines to provide faster and more reliable internet access in about 2 million homes nationwide. This infrastructure build is expected to take 5 years and will extend network coverage to more areas that currently require stable connectivity services. We look forward to launching a new product and service in 2017, building more cell sites and establishing fiber-optic technology that supports this thrust towards enabling public wireless connectivity as well as quality connection in more Filipino households.
